This tool helps you accurately calculate aggregate volumes for your site, allowing an estimation directly on the map interface.

  1. Drawing a Shape:
Click the polygon drawing tool to begin drawing your shape.
Click on the map to add vertices. Complete by clicking the starting point or double-clicking.
  2. Setting Depth Points:
After drawing, click any vertex or inside the polygon to set a depth point.
Enter the depth in millimetres (mm) when prompted and click “OK”.
Each depth point will be labelled with its depth value as a tooltip.
  3. Viewing and Editing:
Depth points are labelled sequentially (e.g., Point 1: 100 mm).
Click a point to edit its depth by entering a new value when prompted.
Remove or update depth points by clicking within the shape and following prompts.
  4. Automatic Volume Calculation:
The total aggregate volume updates automatically as depth points are set or edited.
See the total volume displayed in cubic meters (m³) below the map.

Base Course: The base course is the aggregate layer used to level an uneven site. Using a story rod and a dumpy level or laser level, record depths at several points within the area to ensure accuracy. Enter multiple values to find the average depth of the site, which ensures you order the correct amount of fill, providing a uniform and stable foundation. If you decide to use different types of aggregate, you can divide the base course layer output accordingly. This allows for better customization and efficiency in your construction project.
